our Vision

  Carroll Next Chapter is a county-wide reading program emphasizing the value of Carroll County’s diverse community. Through a shared reading experience and book-focused discussions, we encourage all people of Carroll to engage with inclusive literature, because just being on the same page is not enough… it’s time to turn the page together!

We are a locally based, non-political, non-profit organization composed entirely of volunteers, working to provide a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community. 

Our PFLAG family is made up of all ages, sexual orientations and gender identities.  We don’t just celebrate diversity …we are diversity!

We are proud to be the local chapter of the national PFLAG organization.

We are a woman-owned independent bookstore in Downtown Westminster. We carry books for all ages and interests, and host a variety of literacy and community-centered events.

 We envision a Carroll County that embraces equity and justice for everyone.

We promote understanding of and raise consciousness about issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion through advocacy, networking, education, positive discourse, local media and collaborative relationships within our community.
